HHH.  SEAGRASSES AND MANGROVES 

This session will present the types of permits (CCCL, ERP, JCP) as they apply to marine-related projects.  Issues addressed will include: how the ecology and biology of Florida’s seagrasses and mangroves drive the reality of regulatory responses; what restoration options and assessment strategies are available; the pitfalls of the permitting process, particularly with respect to monitoring and permit/mitigation compliance; and restoration site selection, techniques and monitoring includes in the context of the regulatory environment, including Habitat Equivalency Analysis and UMAM. This course provides excellent coverage of very complex subject.
