Patrick Shearer, P.E. is a lead stormwater design, green infrastructure, and natural systems restoration engineer at E Sciences’ Miami office. He has over 14 years of experience with many types of waterfront, stormwater, coastal urban development, and water quality projects and studies. Patrick’s experience in the Chesapeake Bay watershed with stormwater, natural systems restoration and water quality projects includes a project he designed and permitted that was awarded the 2017 Best Urban BMP Retrofit Award in the Chesapeake Bay watershed. He is currently focused on estuary related water quality projects and flood mitigation in Florida from the Indian River Lagoon down to Biscayne Bay in Miami. Mr. Shearer is excited to share his experience with green infrastructure, water quality improvements, flood reduction, wetland and stream restoration, stormwater retrofits, living shorelines, TMDL’s, NPDES, sea level rise retrofits and coastal resiliency – and to continue to learn from others as well.
