Mr. Kerr has had more than 30 years of environmental experience across Florida and Georgia involving all aspects of development, permitting, mitigation, and conservation. Mr. Kerr is the President and owner of BKI, Inc. – Consulting Ecologists. Mr. Kerr has served on the board of many local, state, and federal organizations, including the East Central Florida Regional Planning Council, Chairman of the East Central Florida Marine Resource Council, Citizen Chair for the Indian River Lagoon National Estuary Programs, Citizen Chair for the Association of National Estuary Programs and Chairman of the Brevard County Land Banking and Critical Habitat Ad Hoc Committee. Most importantly, Mr. Kerr was appointed by the Governor of Florida to serve on the St. John’s River Water Management District Governing Board from April 1999 to May 2008, and he served as Chairman from November 1999 to November 2001. Mr. Kerr is a 4th generation Floridian whose family has been involved with drainage and irrigation engineering in the region since 1937. He has owned and operated his environmental firm in Florida for over 30 years and is one of the founding partners of NeoVerde, LLC. Mr. Kerr’s key network of relationships within all levels of regulatory governance; federal, state and local permitting; and land management organizations gives him a unique basis for the permitting and management of mitigation banks. He is also actively involved in all forms of land management, conservation and land preservation across the region. Mr. Kerr earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Stetson University in Deland, Florida. Mr. Kerr is married with two sons.
