I am a wetland ecologist specializing in the use of wetlands for water quality improvement, habitat restoration, and public use and recreation. As a professional consultant for the past 35 years, I've been fortunate to work on treatment wetland projects across North and South America, Europe, Asia and Australia. I like working with motivated teams of skilled professionals to devise ways of using natural systems to help solve our most pressing water problems. My recent interests have ranged from the use of biological systems for treatment of selenium, metals, and trace organic compounds to the planning and design of wetlands for stormwater harvesting for irrigation and potable uses. The Florida Short Course on the Use of Wetlands for Stormwater and Wastewater Treatment is unique and our team of highly qualified and experienced speakers is sure to provide attendees with an integrated and interesting background on how constructed and natural wetlands can be utilized to serve the needs of both man and nature.
